Prolific Y FM disc jockey, Quarps Hansen (Nii Quarcoopome Hansen- Sackey), crowned 2017 by wedding longtime girlfriend Eunice Asantewaa Asante of GIZ Ghana.

At a lovely ceremony in Tema on December 30, the couple said “I do” in the presence of family, friends, and droves of well-wishers including Y FM colleagues Trigmatic, Brown Berry, and DJ Killer Fingers, DW Africa’s Eddy Micah Jnr., Multimedia’s Jerry Justice, singer Adomaa, as well as Giovani Caleb (who also compered the event).

Glistening in white, both bride and groom could simply not hide their elation at this specific blessing of God upon their lives, wide smiles drawn across their faces and a special verve in their dance moves.

Both alumni of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Quarps and Eunice’s wedding comes off the heels of another beautiful love story brewed within the school: Starr FM’s Osei Owusu Amankwaa and his partner Maabena Dohu Mensah. It would appear that the institute is not only churning out world-class Ghanaian media practitioners, but also responsible for a growing number of inspiring contemporary love stories.

Sarkodie, Yvonne Nelson, Stonebwoy, Others Express Support For Kwaw Kese’s Ambulance Rant

Rapper Kwaw Kese has received backing from colleagues in the Ghanaian entertainment industry on his rants about the state of leadership in the country.

A video posted via his Instagram account finds the self-professed crazy rapper lashing out at the New Patriotic Party government over its failure to improve health care issues in Ghana.

Kwaw Kese couldn’t believe that with all the stories of people dying due to lack of ambulances, the stories of hospitals without enough beds to take care of Ghanaians, the NPP is wasting money buying 275 buses for the party.

“It is stupidity and foolishness that a political party can buy 275 buses for its activities when the country is currently struggling with just 55 ambulances. God will continue punishing Ghana and our leaders must start dying one by one.” stated a visibly angry Kese in the video posted early this week.

His comments were supported by many including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Yvonne Nelson, Captain Planet and D Cryme.
