Wisa showed fake penis to get higher ratings – Lawyer

Wisa-1

Jerry Avenorgbor, lawyer for embattled hiplife artiste Eugene Ashie popularly known as Wisa Greid has disclosed that the musician showed a fake penis (dildo) on stage in order to get higher ratings in the music industry.

The lawyer made the argument after the video of the musician’s act was shown in court Wednesday to establish if indeed he showed his manhood on stage while performing to an audience last December.

Kasapa FM’s court correspondent, Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman reports that Jerry Avenorgbor further challenged the prosecution Edward Odame that the video had been edited.

The lawyer said Wisa on the day wore a strapped on dildo and did not show his manhood as is being speculated, adding that such acts are permissible in the arts circles across the country.

The presiding Judge, Abena Agyin Doku has adjourned the case to 22nd March where other witnesses are expected to give their testimony.

Facts of the case

Wisa Gried is standing trial for gross indecent exposure, a charge he has plead not guilty to.

He did probably the weirdest act by a Ghanaian performing artist when midway through his performance at the December 2 Remember concert last year, he pulled out his manhood on stage and thrusted it behind a lady dancer.

Wisa’s disgraceful act was greeted with public condemnation by a large section of the citizenry who were utterly shocked by his actions. He, as well as his management team immediately apologized to Ghanaians for his indecent behaviour.

The ‘Ekiki me’ hit singer was arrested by the police and questioned for showing his penis at the event, following which he was later granted bail. Subsequently he was arraigned before court.
