A lot of music critics have bemoaned the kind of songs churned out by our musicians nowadays. According to them, lyrics of songs these days cannot be compared to lyrics of songs back then.

Others have also opined that musicians don’t research these days, they just enter the studio, hear the beat and then start doing their own thing on the beat.

Well musician, Wisa Greid of Ekiki mi fame has decided to add his voice to the kind of songs churned out these days. According to Wisa, musicians like VVIP, D Black and 4X4 must up their game with regards to the songs they release nowadays.

He was on Peace FM and he has this to say,

“Before I start, let me first acknowledge the likes of Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba and all those veterans. Now, we the new crop of musicians are doing songs that way because we just want the fame and money, we just want people to hear our songs, we are hungry for fame.”

He continued, “But I just don’t understand why grown-ups like D Black, VVIP, 4X4 who are legends in the game would be doing songs like ‘the feeling bi gbagbagba’, ‘she say abi long oo, dogoyaro. How? when I was in secondary schools, those were the guys I was looking up to. They’ve been so long in the system, they should be doing sensible songs, they shouldn’t be doing songs like we the young ones. VVIP should by now be doing sensible songs”.

Mintse gbo hitmaker, Wisa right there hitting hard at VVIP, 4X4 and D Black for not doing sensible songs.

I nearly aborted DJ Switch when I conceived her – Mother

Mother of Ghana’s youngest DJ, DJ Switch has disclosed that she considered having an abortion while she was pregnant with her daughter.

She remorsefully said on Zylofon 102.1 FM’s Showbiz Agenda that had she known her daughter would have turned out successful, the thought will not have crossed her mind.

“I almost aborted her. I actually went ahead to purchase the drug to terminate the pregnancy but I changed my mind later on”, she said.

According to her, she realized she was with another child six months after having her first child and could not bear the stigma.

“I was the talk of town. Everybody was pointing fingers at me because I had just graduated and in less than two years, was going to be a mother of two”, she added.

However, she expressed her joy in the fact that she restrained from the act and, now her daughter is the most popular young DJ in the country.
