Turbulence for Black Consciousness Concert in Ghana

Sheldon Campbell who is popularly known as “Turbulence” is one of the key figures in Jamaican Reggae, he is set to arrive in Ghana on Monday, February 22, 2016 ahead of a mega concert at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, February 27, 2016.

Turbulence who caught the attention of Ghanaians with hit songs like “Blood Dem Out”, “Ex-Girlfriend” and “Vampire” won the interest many reggae lovers across the country and Africa as a whole. His early arrival is to familiarize with Ghana ahead of concert. Dubbed the “Black Consciousness Tour” of Africa, the celebrated singer has already played Gambia on phase one of the initiative. Ghana would be the next destination he will be playing on Saturday, February 27, with main Ghanaian host, Blak Mexxiah.

This would be his first time in Ghana. Turbulence who is a conscious Rasta man, would be visiting the Rasta sect in Ghana and MUSIGA to know what’s happening in the Ghana music industry.

Turbulence will be playing alongside Ghana’s Blak Mexxiah, Lingua Kat, Konkarah, Iwan, Ras Kuuku and many more…. This is show is to promote reggae music in Ghana also create link between artists here and the Jamaican artists. All reggae lovers across the country let’s roll out and celebrate the coming of this legend.

I nearly aborted DJ Switch when I conceived her – Mother

Mother of Ghana’s youngest DJ, DJ Switch has disclosed that she considered having an abortion while she was pregnant with her daughter.

She remorsefully said on Zylofon 102.1 FM’s Showbiz Agenda that had she known her daughter would have turned out successful, the thought will not have crossed her mind.

“I almost aborted her. I actually went ahead to purchase the drug to terminate the pregnancy but I changed my mind later on”, she said.

According to her, she realized she was with another child six months after having her first child and could not bear the stigma.

“I was the talk of town. Everybody was pointing fingers at me because I had just graduated and in less than two years, was going to be a mother of two”, she added.

However, she expressed her joy in the fact that she restrained from the act and, now her daughter is the most popular young DJ in the country.
