Stubborn Bwoy? Stonebwoy Booked To Perform At VGMA Nominees Jam & Zylofon Media Had No Idea About It, Will They Sue Him Too?

In the music business, if an artiste is signed unto a record label, anyone who  would want to uses the services of the artiste, must do so through the record label that the artiste is signed on and even in the event that, the artiste is contacted directly by someone, it’s the responsibility of the artiste to inform management about it, so a decision is reached but it appears Stonebwoy is bent on making the work of Zylofon a difficult one.

It’s clear that all is not well between him and Zylofon music for obvious reasons and till date, the 2015 BET winner has not gathered enough “balls” to tell the public what his issues with Zylofon are and although close door meetings are been held to resolve the problem, his actions suggest he’s likely to leave the record label soon.

Although Zylofon Music, issued a statement which cast doubt that Stonebwoy had left and warned that any person who intends to use the services of their signed artistes must do so through them or face court action, it appears, that warning fell on deaf ears and Stonebwoy has also not been helpful towards Nana Appiah’s Zylofon Music.

Stonebwoy has been booked to perform as one of the main headline artistes for the VGMA nominees jam happening in Cape Coast on 23rd March, 2018 and according to a report on Zionfelix.net, Zylofon Media is NOT aware that Stonebwoy would be performing at the  VGMA Nominees jam.

It’s somewhat funny that, the record label responsible for Stonebwoy are not really in CHARGE of affairs and do not know that their own artiste would be performing at the VGMA nominees jam–Whether for free or being paid.

The blog zionfelix.net reports that, when he asked George Quaye, PRO for Charterhouse who are the organisers of the VGMA, if his outfit spoke to Zylofon Media or Stonebwoy directly, he was reluctant if giving a definite response, saying that, it is not for the media to know what business discussions they have with someone.

Another call to Samuel Atuobi Baah, who is the head of communications at Zylofon, indicated that they (Zylofon) were not aware that Stonebwoy would be performing at the VGMA nominees jam.

Reaching Zylofon Media on the same issue, Samuel Atuobi Baah, Head of Communication at the entertainment house told Zionfelix.net that they are not aware of the show their artiste will be performing on March 23 in the Central Region. Sammy Flex quickly added that he will not talk much about the issue at the time we called but at a later day.

From what we understand on how Zylofon Music operates, every artiste has his team and that includes his manager who must report to Bulldog , who is the artistes and repertoire manager at Zylofon on any action they want to take, so the label knows what they are up to but it’s obvious the issue with Bulldog and Stonebwoy has not been resolved yet, so then they perhaps didn’t find the need to report to him.

Imagine Stonebwoy’s manager, Blak Cedi reporting back to Bulldog when this issue has not been solved, considering what happened at the Champs bar.

C.E.O of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has described Reggae/Dancehall musician Stonebwoy as a ‘lost sheep’. He made the statement Friday, May 18, after quashing a confusion that recently erupted at Zylofon Music imprint.

Stonebwoy broke the news about the end of the confusion via social media yesterday and asked his fans to throw their weights behind the record label.

He shared a photo with NAM 1 with the caption: “At The End Of The Day Peace Will Prevail,Progress Shall Reign And All Things Shall Work Together For Good.. I’ll Borrow Words From This Noble Man @mn_appiah With Whom This Revolution started.. #GhanaShallProsper.

I’ll entreat All The Fans Worldwide Who Have Been In support All These while To Ignore All Forms Of Negative Sentiments And Continue To Show Love And immense Support To This Great Vision!!#BHIMNATION #ZYLOFONMUSIC“.

Nana Appiah Mensah, responding to this, compared the situation to the ‘Parable of the Lost Sheep’ in the Bible, indirectly referring to Stonebwoy as the ‘lost sheep’. He took to Twitter to say: “”…And who amongst us, blessed with 1000 sheep, when one goes missing…” refer; the parable of the good shepherd. JESUS CHRIST is the goodshepherd #ChristinyouthehopeofGlory.”
