Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in showbiz as Shatta Wale is one artiste who has won the hearts of many music lovers in Ghana and beyond. This dude has really fought hard to be where he is now and and I boldly say he deserves every bit of what he owns now.
From his times of Bandana till now,he has exhibited the spirit of perseverance and made it a point that, nothing can stop or distract him from pursuing his dreams.
Now let’s go back to the early days of the rebranded Shatta Wale. He went into the ‘jungle’ for sometime and came back fortified as he learnt to produce his own songs and grow more intelligent in the music industry.
No doubts he’s had issues with several people in the industry but aside everything, his fans still loved and defended him no matter the circumstance. There had been instances where his fans will come attacking myself and fellow blogger Chris Handler for doing ‘negative’ stories about Shatta Wale but we took it to be one of those things since that’s the nature of our work.
Truth be told, anytime Shatta Wale was billed to perform on a show, his fans troop to the venue just to see their king perform. They would wait until the very last minute of his performance before they depart from the event ground, regardless the time. There have been a couple of instances I had to interact with his fans at some of the shows he performs at and the love is just something that is beyond imagination.
Shatta Wale is a crowd puller and most event organizers will confess that putting Shatta on a show will definitely make the event a sold out one. Shatta’s name can never be left out when choosing the biggest three acts in Ghana but hey,I will have to confess he is the biggest.
For someone who is able to have a great influence on the youth and even when he goes for radio or Tv interviews, fans gather around the premises of the station just to have a glimpse of their king and hail his name. He is the only Ghanaian artiste to have the biggest album launch ever hosting thousands of music lovers at the Independence Square,Accra. The MTN Pulse Concert held some few months ago saw received a great attendance just because the King was billed to perform. I had the chance to see himself and the convoy that accompanied him to the stadium as they were drove through the streets of Accra. It was just amazing.
Shatta Wale’s album launch saw lots of big men and women attending just to show the love they have for him and his music. The Osu Mantse and wife were present, his father Shatta Capo who is the chief of Ngleshie Amanfrom was also present,Prince of goals Prince Tagoe also came to support,Duke formerly of D2,Sarkodie Ghana’s bestest rapper,Pope Skinny and several media gurus were also there to show their love.
Fans sang along as Shatta performed over 30 songs and honestly, some of them wept bitterly as he performed the inspirational ones. He always gave them something that can relate to their everyday life and something that will actually motivate them. How more can one describe an artiste to be undoubtedly the biggest when his exclusion from the country’s largest music award scheme has caused lots of controversies?
I say a big shouts to Sarkodie for holding Shatta down and trust me,these two are the biggest Ghanaian music industry has ever seen. He really did surprise Shatta with his appearance, coming straight to perform after he touched down from the states.

Takoradi Artistes Fake Togetherness – Qwesi flex
If Music is supposed to express emotions, relief pains, reduce depression, elevate mood and most especially unite people then that unity should exist among The ambassadors of music.
The ‘No pampanaa’ singer Qwesi flex in an interview exposed an interesting perception about his fellow takoradi musicians.
Takoradi’s young fast rising soloist aired during an interview on the ‘Di wo lane mu’ show anchored by Sammy Bee on kasapa fm that “takoradi Artistes fake togetherness”.
According to the Qwesi flex, his colleagues seems united during encounters but there is alot of hatred and bad mindset among themselves.
Hitting so hard of that point it seems the young talent has enough reasons for sighting out such can of worms..
Qwesi Flex is currently promoting his new single titled “No Pampana “.Kindly listen below
