‘Pastor Alewa’ feeds Highlife lovers with ‘Sardine’

After making a sudden U-turn from the pulpit to pick up his microphone, Ofori Amponsah performed at the AdomKwahu stage at Atibie Kwahu after which he blessed the crowd.

From Auntie Ataa to Alewa, to Cinderella and to Abele W)z, Ofori Amponsah displayed to the increasing crowd and proved he still had a talent in music and that is also his passion.

He received backing from Kofi B. With the two on stage, Easter celebrants at the #AdomKwahu were treated to the pleasant tunes.

As at 1:00 am the crowd refused to go home. They automatically became the MC for the occassion dictating to Ofori Amponsah the particular song to play at certain times.

“We won’t goo home,” they chant after every song.

All the songs he raised became sing-alongs while the crowd took over from him and Kofi B, as his backing vocalist.

Ofori Amponsah also performed his popular song with Samini, ‘Odwo’. Describe him with whichever adjective possible but it remains that he is still one of the kings of contemporary highlife music.
