The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has disclosed that since the Akufo-Addo led administration took over power in 2017, it has embarked on 17,334 developmental projects
The projects which he deems as massive cuts across all sectors of the economy including agriculture, education, energy, health, housing, industrial, market, railway, road, safety and security.
The Vice President made this revelation when he addressed a Town Hall Meeting at the Academy of Arts and Science In Accra on Tuesday, August 18, 2020
Giving Ghanaians a fair idea of the state of the projects, the Vice President who has been widely described as the economic wizkid, said 8,746 projects have been completed whiles 8,588 are ongoing.
The Vice President said that regardless of the government’s huge investment in infrastructure, it has spent less comparatively and has always ensured that there is value for money in all the projects undertaken by the government adding that no government has achieved this in their first term as compared to the current Akufo-Addo administration.
