Nervous Man Sings Bette Midler’s “The Rose” For His Grandmother And Dazzles The Judges

When 34-year-old Christopher Maloney stepped on stage before the X-Factor UK audience, it was awkward to say the least.

Maloney was shaking like a leaf and visibly close to tears. I thought he was going to quit before he even got started, but luckily the judges gave the shy, nervous man the benefit of the doubt.

Unsurprisingly, the road to the X-Factor stage didn’t come easy for Maloney. He refused to try out for more than 5 years and when he finally mustered up the courage, he ended up not going. It wasn’t until tragedy struck that Maloney knew it was finally time to take that chance. At Maloney’s grandfather’s funeral the song “The Rose” by Bette Midler was played and it really touched his heart. After moving in with his grandmother to care for her, she helped Maloney find the courage and confidence to take that chance.

Performing in front of an audience, judges, and TV cameras can be seriously nerve-wracking, but just like shy salesman Paul Potts, those nerves helped Maloney to put on the show of a lifetime. He chose to sing “The Rose” for his grandma and in honor of his late grandfather, because she always believed in him.

I’ve seen a lot of amazing talent show auditions  but I’ve honestly never seen an audience go this crazy before. Just spectacular

Little girl is just 3 years old

Adorable 3-year-old Claire Ryann Crosby is the latest Youtube sensation.

Since it was posted on New Years Day, more than 2 million people have watched the video of the Utah toddler singing the Disney classic, “Part of Your World,” from every little girl’s favorite movie, “The Little Mermaid.”

The video was filmed by Claire’s dad, Dave Crosby, who works for a film company and writes music for commercials and movies, according to Salt Lake City’s news channel KSL.

“A few months ago, I was paying for an oil change, and when I turned around [Claire] was singing “Little Mermaid” in the lobby while everyone had their phones out recording her,” Dave said in an interview with KSL.

Watch out for more videos of Claire. According to her dad, she’s “dying to record ‘Let it Go.’”
