A man with the world’s largest testicles had to ‘drop out of school’ as they swelled to 10 times the average size.
Forence Owiti Opiyo, from Kibigori in Kenya, was diagnosed with the mystery condition after he noticed a cyst on his genitals in 2006, when he was aged just 10.
And before you read on, here’s a pre-warning: These pictures are not for the faint-hearted!
Forence originally had the growth removed back in 2007 but the problem re-emerged and the cyst grew so big, he ‘struggled to walk’.
The 21-year-old, who was forced to drop out of school because his balls grew so much that he was unable to wear clothes or walk easily, said:
This thing started very small, like a boil. Then it was the size of my fist. It just continued to grow bigger and bigger.
It was operated on and they removed it. They did some tests and found out it was had not been fully removed but I could not come back due to the post-election violence and I stayed home.
I finished my medicine but it continued to grow. I was supposed to come for a second operation but we could raise the money we needed.
Forence couldn’t afford more surgery and as classmates teased him, he began to spend more time at home where he lived with his brother Eliza and elderly grandmother, his parents died when he was five.
Forence started mending shoes in an attempt to save money for more surgery.
Speaking before his brother’s most recent surgery, Eliza said:
I am the one taking care of things now. It is not easy, it is very hard. Sometimes I do farming or cut sugarcane and sometimes I grow tomatoes. Forence’s problem is with the penis and scrotum.
The disease started in 2006 but when it came people thought it was a spirit but it is not a spirit. Forence’s life is not good because he doesn’t have friends who come to visit him.
The family’s neighbour, Duncan Otieno, took some photos of Forence and posted them on Facebook along with a desperate plea for help.
I took his photos and posted it on my Facebook and shared it all over the internet. After three days, we got a call from Our Lady of Mercy Ranguma and an ambulance picked him up from the village.
Forence is a polite man. He is a man of few words, he doesn’t talk much or disturb anyone. I believed he could be healed.
Surgeons examined Forence and scheduled two operations – the first to ‘debulk the penis and get rid of the excess mass’ and the second to ‘reconstruct the penis’.
Dr James Obondi, Consulting Surgeon, said:
We spared the nerves, we spared the circulation and we brought the shaft to its rightful size.
I believe Forence is going to enjoy his life like any other normal human being. In three months he will be just normal in his functions and be able to do everything he wants to do.
Jane Tombe, a surgical nurse, was overwhelmed by Forence’s ‘optimism and positivity’ throughout his operation and recovery.
I haven’t seen anything like that before. But Forence is outgoing. A very jovial boy who is very positive in life.
His daily life must have been so challenging before his operation but there was so much hope in him. He is going to progress well.
You know when you see a patient progress very well in my profession; I get very happy and am happy for Forence. I think God loves him so much and he will do well in life.
Cannot un-see those images, poor guy!
Revealed: Why UK freed Nayele Ametefe after serving 3 years of her 8-year jail time
Drug Queen Nayele Ametefe has been released from jail having served only three years out of her 8 and a half years sentence for narcotics peddling and trafficking.
We learnt she was released days ago on parole for showing extraordinarily good behaviour throughout her 3 years in prison, even though she has 5 and a half years to go.
Parole is a temporary release of a prisoner who agrees to certain conditions before the completion of the maximum sentence period, originating from the French ‘parole’.
The Ghanaian who also hold an Austrian passport pleaded guilty to carrying 12 kilos of cocaine to the United Kingdom was been sentenced to eight years, eight months’ imprisonment.
Nayele Ametefe was sentenced on her own plea by the Isleworth Crown Court in London. The sentence was discounted because of her early guilty plea. Nayele appeared in court well dressed and looked indifferent when the sentence was handed down on her head.
The prosecutors told the court Nayele had $23,000 and an additional 6,000 Pounds in her handbag when she was arrested. The money was payment for her courier services.
According to the prosecutors, Nayele Ametefe was carting the cocaine to South America. Her travel itinerary, the court was told indicated that she was leaving the United Kingdom two days after her arrival, for the Dominican Republic.
The 12 kilograms of cocaine was, therefore, not meant to be consumed in the UK.
In his submission for mitigation, lawyer for Nayele told the court she came from an underprivileged home and married a spare parts dealer at Ghana’s famous spare-parts market, Abossey Okai.
She has three children, the first being 16 years old. Her marriage broke down and she has been a single mother.
According to the lawyer, Nayele came into contact with powerful people in 2004 and her life changed dramatically. She travelled extensively with influential people as their companion.
The lawyer said Nayele has remained connected to powerful people in authority who are currently in power in Ghana.
She was forced by circumstances to engage in transporting drugs to support her newly attained high-class lifestyle and to take care of her three children, the lawyer said.
