Sekou Nkrumah, son of Ghana’s first President, has intimated that late former President Professor John Evans Atta Mills is Ghana’s worst leader in history.
It is unclear what his parameters are but as people celebrated the former President, who would have been 76 years yesterday, Sekou suggested that he was the worst of Ghana’s leaders.
“Worse leader Ghana had! Professor Mills on my mind,” he wrote on social media.
Professor John Evans Atta Mills was President of Ghana from 7th January 2009 to 24 July 2012 when he passed away while still serving as President of the republic.
Sekou Nkrumah is a known critic of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party of late Professor John Evans Atta Mills. The NDC has regularly come under criticism from Sekou Nkrumah, who has now declared his unflinching support for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Even though, he is not a card-bearing member of the NPP and had previously served in one of the NDC governments, he seems to have become a thorn in the NDC’s flesh, choosing to lash out at the party and its flagbearer as and when he wills.
Some members of the NDC have called him out for his criticism of the NDC but he persists in his criticism of the opposition party while ignoring the shortcomings of the governing NPP
