The final edition of the annual Girl Talk concert for songstress Jane Awindor popularly known as Efya had many surprises when it happened on December 27 at the National Theater.
The past events have always had surprising moments but this year’s put patrons into a lot of frenzy moments. Many ladies including celebrities who attended the bow out edition for Efya were honoured for their good works. One of the few Ghanaian female entertainers who was regarded with great respect at the show was actress cum movie producer Yvonne Nelson.
Halfway through the show, Efya called on former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie to perform a duty. Madam Gomashie who wrote her speech on a phone because she did not want to forget the right words to describe Miss Nelson waxed lyrical about her.
She admired the ‘4Play’ actress’ boldness despite insults hurled at her for the past months due to her newly born baby. Yvonne during the former minister’s praises dropped some tears.
Several ladies including known faces in the country were called on stage to help honour Yvonne Nelson with a crown for not giving up in life despite the challenges.
Martha Ankomah, MzVee, Lydia Forson, Sandra Ankobia, Becca, Nana Adwa Awindor and many other prominent personalities mounted the stage to promise their support for each other.

‘Our Leaders Are Utterly Stupid’ – Sarkodie, Yvonne Nelson, Stonebwoy, Others Express Support For Kwaw Kese’s Ambulance Rant
Rapper Kwaw Kese has received backing from colleagues in the Ghanaian entertainment industry on his rants about the state of leadership in the country.
A video posted via his Instagram account finds the self-professed crazy rapper lashing out at the New Patriotic Party government over its failure to improve health care issues in Ghana.
Kwaw Kese couldn’t believe that with all the stories of people dying due to lack of ambulances, the stories of hospitals without enough beds to take care of Ghanaians, the NPP is wasting money buying 275 buses for the party.
“It is stupidity and foolishness that a political party can buy 275 buses for its activities when the country is currently struggling with just 55 ambulances. God will continue punishing Ghana and our leaders must start dying one by one.” stated a visibly angry Kese in the video posted early this week.
His comments were supported by many including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Yvonne Nelson, Captain Planet and D Cryme.
