Fast rising female dancehall artiste Ebony after two years of studying at Methodist Girls’ SHS decided to say goodbye to school all because she wanted to focus on music.
The ‘Poison’ hitmaker has refuted claims that she was dismissed from school. Speaking to MzGee of Hitz FM, she asked Ghanaians never to believe any story that says authorities of her former school sacked her because of her bad behaviour.
Giving reasons why she left the school during her second year, Ebony disclosed that she convinced her father why he needed to allow her to start music and forgo school. According to the dancehall artiste, the thousand and one reasons she gave daddy years ago went into his good ears and that made him give her the go ahead to pack all her bags from Methodist Girls’ SHS and take music seriously.
She continued that most people attend school to gain knowledge and earn income so she has not regretted dropping out of school since music can fetch her income more than what school would have given her of she had continued.
“Why do we go to school? We go to school to be intellectuals and also to get an income and music can equally do the same things for me. If I’ll be going back to school then I’ll continue what I already know but not for income because music is already doing that.
I’ve never been dismissd from any school before. I was very stubborn but I was never sacked. I sat my dad down and told him this is what I wanted to do. I told him I want to do music and he understood me. He was like they have always known I was going to do music so they have no problem but I should promise them I will go back to school in future” Ebony told MzGee.
Video: ‘I Am Very Sorry For Calling You Born One Prostitute’ – Counsellor Lutterodt Apologises To Yvonne Nelson
Counsellor George Lutterodt, who has gained notoriety for emotionally abusing women on TV and radio platforms, not long ago described actress Yvonne Nelson as a “born-one, shameful ashawo” who has no iota of disgrace to shut up about her adulterous life of having a daughter out of wedlock.
The comment didn’t go down well with majority of Ghanaians, who claimed that the counsellor has crossed his boundaries with the opportunity he had on the TV platform. As a result, they called on the counselor to retract his derogatory statement used to describe the actress.
Lo and behold, Counselor Lutterodt for the first time has swallowed the bitter pill and has apologized for chastising Yvonne Nelson. Speaking to TV Africa’s Nikki Samonas, he said;
“To Yvonne Nelson, I say a very big sorry. The wording of the write-up, the conversation and video didn’t really match up, however since it has been said and has denigrated your brand, I sincerely apologize.’’
Regardless the self styled Counsellor posited that he has no personal grudge or whatsoever against the sensational actress. But then, his comments on the day were based on the issues being discussed.
