A nine-year-old boy has been found dead in a deep drain, known as ‘Olonka Gutter’ at Sawaba – a suburb of Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region – after he went missing for 4 days.

A tear-filled mother of young Aikins Kwame Jare disclosed this Joy News Correspondent, Anas Sabbit on Friday.

She narrates that after nightfall when Aikins has still not come home on Tuesday, the family started looking for him but without success of finding him. The matter was reported to police after he failed to show up the following day.

Speaking in Twi, she said a neighbor told her that a dead boy had been found in the drain on Friday so she went to see if it was her son – unfortunately it was.

This is not the first time a dead body has been found in the ‘Olonka Gutter’, according to residents.

Assembly man for the area, Wahab Habib, says he can count at least 16 dead bodies found in the ditch in the last couple of years, explaining the situation has become a mystery.

The Assembly man has called on authorities to assist with reconstructing a bridge over the drain which he says has become a death trap.

Today, March 24, 2018, will go down as one of the saddest days in the life of some Ghanaians, and the Ghana Music Industry.

The late Ebony Reigns will be laid to rest today at the Osu Cemetery after a funeral service to be held at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

Ghanaians will miss the 20-year-old musician who took the music industry by storm within a spate of two years.

Her hit songs ‘Maame Hw3’, ‘Hustle’, ‘Sponsor’, and the many others are still enjoying massive airplay.

Despite all the controversies that surrounded her short but successful career, Ebony was focused, and never shifted from her career dream. Who would not miss Ebony?

She died painfully on February 8, 2018, on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway in a gory accident which also claimed the lives of her bodyguard, and personal assitant.

Meanwhile, the bodyguard, Lance Corporal Vondee Francis Atsu, was buried yesterday, March 23, 2018 in Mafi Adidome, in the Volta Region.
