Abideen – Digital Eargasm

From the artwork depicting music coming out of perceptionally shot brain I knew this artist came in with a whole sense uniqueness before I started to soak his art in .

The first track on the tape is electronic slow trap infused type of hip hop. The chorus enacts legendary TH4 Kwageez Won fa hor track. Abi.deen opens the first verse on the tape with“ Wo se times have changed
; they say times have changed so I showed up in a new watch
. This wanna time oo chale; this bi wanna time
. You dierr just watch
, put rappers to the sword
. Wose me y3 psycho (Seiko) “A two bar scheme that has contained a punchline and very nice worldplay.

The next track which Was out before the whole project titled “Gimme Drive “ featured Penny from YSE. The mid tempo afrobeat song came with a whole new dimension of the artist as he rode the beat nicely after Penny lays his infectious hook. The whole Fante vibe in the verses and instrumentals all fall together perfectly on the song.

Adwengo the next song on the tape comes all jumpy and high tempo with a jazzy electronic feel. The infectious hook from Penny YSE makes the song stand out immediately as a radio preferred option on the tape. Once again the chemistry with Blak Keyz the in-house producer is clear as the beat and verses all gel all too well.

Then came You and I a love song Kid Ink would make if he could speak Fante. But anyways Blak Keyz steps up again with an RnB so trapped out. The codeine feel giving vocal lay so comfortably on the track I see why Abi.deen rarely uses other producers. That is also as lyrical as it is cheesy for the ladies.

The track that followed was Amen and for hip hop heads like me, my prayers were answered. The inspiring Anthem was so positive it made the song impossible to ignore. The gritty hiphop song produced by Arkane immediately stood out. It preached ‘Alrightness’ and Kuulboi XO delivered. His verse came with some energy so nice is it made the song complete. And oh the Spanish bars were flames.

Then Lala Song came to blow me away. I had to google the S3kyerewa girl right away. Her vocals were amazing and the verses were great. Their whole chemistry on the song was crazy. Blak keyz again produced this gem. The love song come through with an upbeat RnB feel. It comfortably gave way to flows from Abideen and S3kyerewa rode on it beautifully.

Then ‘Ballin’ followed. The song produced by Vybez was also one of the singles which dropped before the project came. The hiphop came with a catchy Fante hook and some very dope verses. Balling came with bars like “My circle dey play with your xBox,
Way you know what Ibi true?
Me and your girl dey try angles.
Chale she bi skillful pass”Once again showing off the skill he possess on a great wordplay.

Too Bad feat Drupz followed with amazing vibes. With Drupz and Abi.deen seemingly being friends they got to work to deliver this wonderful afrobeat jam. Blak Keyz once again came through with a nice beat. The afrobeat song had once again displayed the diverse nature of this two acts as they gelled afrobeats with reggae dance-hall vibes and hiplife.

The last song on the project titled Abi You Know kicked off immediately with a verse on the crank like trap beat with amazing synths from Blak Keyz . Delivering amazing rap skills this was an ideal way to end the project. The laid back flow filled with punchlines and wordplay served as an amazing outro for the whole body work.

The project had fulfilled its intended purpose, it gave me an ‘eargasm’. The fresh sounds and the upcoming talents put on this project gave it a new twist. The instrumentals, the lyricism, the mix and the content for the album was great as a whole. It was very hard to pick a song that i didn’t like. Digital Eargasm amassed a total 8 out of 10 rating from me as a whole. Amazing work!
